Why should I put up YAPP (Yet Another Pagan Page)? Because there are extra roadblocks in the way of an ex-Witness who seeks nourishment from the Craft. Think of that luscious, beautiful tree that stood "in the midst of the garden," where that nasty spririt with the burning sword stood in the way.
Sound perverse? In the old pre-Jewish religions of the Fertile Crescent, the tree and the serpent were symbols of wisdom and of life, free to all of us, not something that was forbidden us because our ancestors had been deceived into disobedience. Think of the Tree of Life as a glittering, fragrant Christmas tree, laden with beauty as well as prosperity, and you will understand precisely how the JW terror of paganism has gypped us.
